I got a Gaggia classic this last Christmas. This is the way.
I wouldn’t call myself a wrestling fan but I see the entertainment/art in professional wrestling. Like anything else entertainment wise it’s an escape for the viewers. Sure the outcome of matches are pre determined but it’s the entire spectacle that you get lost in and forget about the forged display. I never watched WWE growing up but I always heard about John Cena being a charismatic well liked person in and out of the ring. I’m sure the headlines fit more into sports feeds rather than the arts/theater section.
-Salt and pepper
-Bbq spice blend
-Garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, oregano
-Home made chimichurri from herbs in my garden
Experiment with spices you have on hand to see what you like best.
Always salt your meat well before cooking it to draw out moisture through osmosis
Ecobee thermostats have an automatic feature that does that. I only use the dedicated heat/cool settings since there aren’t wild shifts like that in my area.
Before I got my gaggia classic, my routine would be v60 on weekdays before work with an aeropress here and there and moka pot on the weekend. The process of moka pot brewing feels so zen to me
I saw Jazz guitarist Julian Lage last year and I was not expecting to have my socks completely blown two blocks away. I really enjoy his work and recognize that he is a master of his instrument but holy hell; he and his rhythm section were a hive mind operating in a higher plane of existence. He emitted an energy that I’ve never felt at a concert before. Please check out his trio’s performances on YouTube just to feel a tiny fraction of what happens in person.
Woo!
I saw buddy at a music fest once and he yelled at the crowd for not singing along in time. Dude is a hilarious legend
Avatar The Last Airbender. I’m in my early 30s and do a rewatch almost every year.
I enjoy a Lacroix depending on the flavor- Passionfruit is my favorite. The top tie, first round pick for sparkling water in my book is Topo Chico. Add a little bit of lime juice and a splash from a ginger bug on the rocks and you have a spicy treat
Just about any Boss pedal
Left 4 dead 1&2, Halo 1-3 + Reach. Man I miss co op games with friends on split screen. Do modern games even have split screen options outside of Nintendo titles?
Oh I love to perambulate, sitting still is what I really hate
Try some Yoga. It can be a decent workout and will definitely help with posture, soreness and flexibility if you stick with it. Check out some beginner yoga routines on YouTube to see if it’s something you would be into.
I read Jeff Tweedy’s book on songwriting and he talked about borrowing themes from anything and every thing. Like that chord progression? Use it. Interesting cadence or rhythm? Borrow it. It’s not really copying, but more so taking inspiration from other works. It’s always good to keep your ears open to try to find things in the world that resonate with you. I often sit in my back yard and listen to the birds sing and imagine what a bird song would sound like applied to something on guitar or lyrical cadence.
I bought a pack of thumb picks out of curiosity and I actually really like them. I don’t use them every time I play but they’re nice to have.
Do you use an airlock or do you burp the vessel when you ferment?
