Okta Says Hackers Stole Data for All Customer Support Users had earlier said breach affected about 1% of customers Company said some Okta employee information was also stolen

Okta Inc. has discovered that hackers who breached its network two months ago stole information on all users of its customer support system — a scope far greater than the 1% of customers the company had previously said were affected.

The company notified customers in a letter Tuesday that it has now determined the hackers downloaded a report containing data including names and email addresses for all clients that use its customer support system. As a result, Okta warned customers that they may face an increased risk of attacks and urged them to use strong multifactor authentication.

I don’t remember asking Googles permission to display content on my property. This is why I don’t buy smart TVs anymore. If I want it to be “smart” I’ll just program a raspberry pi myself.

And there is no excuse why it doesn’t.

I’ll give it a shot. I’m open to trying new things. I just wish I could wake up and have one day where I didn’t feel like the tin man without any oil.

I was formatting and resizing usb drives for work. I had already started drinking and was only half pay attention to what I was doing since I wanted to go back to hanging out with my friends. I really needed them for work the next morning and I failed to realize I left the drive plugged in with my other USB’s and formatted them all during my conversation/drinking session. It was only in the morning did I realize what I did.

I drunkenly formatted a backup drive once. Not a fun realization to make the next morning.

Same. It’s awful. It’s not gout obviously but the stiffness in my knee and ankle is the most debilitating. Ironically I didn’t break my ankle or my knee. My hip was broken and keeping my foot still for the better part of a year has been problematic for movement ever sense.

The hip aches a lot but I can tolerate that by modifying my walking and using the cane. I still haven’t figured out how to get the stiffness out of my ankle and knee.

Correct. I may not have described it well so here is a visual aid.

A custom cane. I know it’s silly but I get a lot of compliments on it. It’s hand crafted in Ukraine and it has a steel sculpture of Thors face adorned on the front.

If you’re someone like me that is going to need that for the rest of your life, why use some cold looking medical device or that stupid “hurry cane”? Nah I’d rather it be as beautiful as it is functional.

I’ve taken it on all my travels so far and it makes for a great conversation piece and a great way for others to broach the uncomfortable topic of my accident or walking impairment. Most people will ask about the cane first before asking me why I need it. Prior to owning the custom cane nobody asked me about anything.

I mostly ignore the Fediverse these days. I’ve been spending time making videos for YouTube as a hobby and as outlet for my anger, stress and other emotions.

Keeping busy and productive doing that is a reward in and of itself. Nobody else might like what I make but I’m not making it for them. I’m making it for me. Everyone else gets the benefit of watching too if they think it’s any good.
